This will result in a more fluctuating electricity supply and a heightened need for expanded transmission capabilities. Unfortunately, delays in establishing these transmission connections, which have extended to an average of five years, could potentially lead to challenges in ensuring a sufficient energy supply. To mitigate this, the widespread deployment of Virtual Power Plants [VPPs] offers a cost-effective solution to address the growing demand and escalating peak energy requirements, offering a more affordable energy alternative for consumers who already find energy costs burdensome.
